The foundation of Welco Group dates back to 1978 with the establishment of Welco for Engineering & Contracting by Eng. Ahmed Wael Shalaby. Through his vision and entrepreneurial spirit, a single company laid the groundwork for what would become a diversified and expansive business group.

Today, under the strategic leadership of Eng. Mohamed Wael Shalaby—a distinguished civil engineer who commenced his professional career in 1994—Welco Group encompasses seven companies and manufacturing facilities operating across Egypt, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom. The Group’s business portfolio spans key sectors including construction, digital printing, advertising materials, lighting solutions, metal fabrication, and decorative panel manufacturing.
